Director of A Violent Life
Actor and director, Thierry de Peretti was born in 1970 in Ajaccio (France). He did a training course within the free class of the Cours Florent (1988/1991). He is a prize-winner of The Villa Medicis Hors-les-murs and obtains the theatrical revelation Prize from the national labor syndicate of criticism in 2001 for Return to the Desert (Le Retour au Désert) by Bernard-Marie Koltès. As an actor he performed in Le Silence (2004) by Orso Miret, Indian Summer (L’Eté Indien, 2008) by Alain Raoust and Those Who Love Me Can Take the Train (Ceux Qui M’aiment Prendront le Train, 1998) by Patrice Chéreau. After two short films, Le Jour de ma Mort and Sleepwalkers, he directed the feature-length Les Apaches, selected at the Directors’ Fortnight in 2013. His film A Violent Life (Une Vie Violente) had its world premiere at the Critics Week in Cannes 2017.
